Air New Zealand issues new updates on COVID-19 flexibility policy for international travellers

The New Zealand government continues to have travel restriction in place and New Zealand border remain closed to almost all travellers apart from New Zealand citizens and those with the exemption.

As such Air New Zealand wishes to advise the following updates to the COVID-19 flexibility policy outlined below:

 For tickets sold within the South, South East Asia points of sale:

  • The policy date has been extended to include travel up to December 31, 2020 (previously August 31, 2020).
  • All credits issued under this policy now have until December 31, 2021, to be rebooked for travel by December 31, 2022 (previously June 30, 2021, to be rebooked for travel by June 30, 2022)

Air New Zealand is currently working on its International schedule for travel September- October 2020 which will be progressively rolled out the week commencing July 27, 2020. They have requested travel agents to refrain from cancelling their client’s PNR until they have actioned the scheduled changes through the GDS. The new schedule for travel between September- October 2020 will be announced once this is ready to be released in the agents GDS.
