IATO ELECTIONS: Rajiv Mehra elected as the new IATO President, EM Najeeb back as the Senior Vice President

With a tough contest between Team Moving Forward led by Rajiv Mehra and Team for Change led by Lally Mathews, the IATO members on 6th March 2021 have voted a new team to power for term 2021-23 during the election process conducted physically at The Ashok Hotel, New Delhi.

While both the teams were confident and looking forward to winning with comfortable margins, it turned out to be a split verdict after a hard-fought battle. Even members were anticipating a total change with one strong team leading. The total number of votes cast was 322 out of 352 eligible members, despite the COVID situation.

So with a mix of key positions from both the team, Rajiv Mehra from Uday Tours & Travels has been elected as the new President while EM Najeeb of Air Travel Enterprises has been voted again as the Senior Vice President of the association. Ravi Gosain, Erco Travels is the new Vice President, and Rajnish Kaistha, Paradise Holidays India has been elected as the Honorary Secretary, while Sunil Mishra, Cosmos Tours & Travels is the new Treasurer. Sanjay Razdan, Razdan Holidays will be the new Joint Secretary of the association. The voting was also conducted for the positions of Executive Members in both active and allied categories.

The returning officer for the election was Homa Mistry of Trail Blazer Tours India.
