To mark the official launch of The Connaught, New Delhi- IHCL SeleQtions, the hotel has curated a series of bespoke events.
The event witnessed Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, IHCL, in an engaging conversation, fuelled with nostalgia, with Suhel Seth, Managing Partner, Counselage. With their insightful anecdotes, culinary favourites revealed and glimpses of their journey, the meaningful conversation celebrated the heart and soul of Delhi; the true inspiration behind The Connaught, New Delhi – IHCL SeleQtions.
The Hotel presents a unique and striking design, combining the art deco charm of Connaught Place and contemporary luxe interiors. The event at The Terrace and The Hub witnessed a specially curated themed décor, enthralling live music, a spectrum of vibrant lights on the Hotel façade and an immersive culinary experience. The culinary team at The Connaught, New Delhi – IHCL SeleQtions showcased an impressive repertoire of signature cocktails and an elaborate Delhi Food Trail featuring star dishes like the evergreen Butter Chicken, Nalli Nihari, array of Paranthas, Amristsari Chole, delectable Kebabs, famed Chaat Bahaar and sinful desserts such as Daulat Ki Chaat, Doodh Jalebi, Rabri Falooda, Halwa Three Ways and the heart-warming Adrak Wali Chai with Naan Khatai. A customized and colorful auto rickshaw was a highlight that enhanced the strong sense of place and was a perfect ode to the Delhi’s quintessential tuk-tuk experience!
The special celebration saw well-known personalities from different walks of life in attendance: Dinesh Patnaik, Director General at Indian Council For Cultural Relations; Harshavardhan Neotia, Chairman of the Ambuja Neotia Group; Dr. Rakhshanda Jalil, Indian writer and literary historian; Vinod Kumar Duggal; Abhijit Iyer-Mitra, an author and Rouble Nagi, an artist.
