Close to the announcement that the governments of India and Nepal have approved the resumption of regular scheduled flights between Delhi and Kathmandu under the Air Transport Bubble arrangements, Nepal Airlines has stated that it will be operating flights on daily basis between Delhi and Kathmandu. The service has resumed after more than five months.

As per the notice issued, the following are the category of people allowed along with travel restrictions
For Inbound flights into India :
(a) Indian nationals and nationals of Nepal;
(b) All Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders and Person of Indian Origin (POI) cardholders holding passports of any country;
(c) All third-country nationals (including diplomats) intending to travel to India for any purpose (Including their dependents on the appropriate category of dependent visa) except those on Tourist Visa;
For Outbound flights from India:
(a) Indian nationals and nationals of Nepal. However, it would be for the airline’s concern to ensure that there is no travel restriction for Indian nationals to enter Nepal before the issue of ticket/boarding pass to the Indian passenger.
(b) Third Country nationals (Including diplomats) holding valid visa/entry permit for Nepal, only if required.
It is also to be noted that, only such passengers should be carried from India who are destined for Nepal. Similarly, only passengers originating in Nepal should be carried on a flight from Nepal to India.
The operations will be subject to strict adherence to the SOP issued by the civil aviation authorities and other COVID-19 related health protocols/guidelines issued by the authorities of both sides.
Additionally, the following conditions have been prescribed for passengers travelling to Nepal:
a. Travellers will be required to submit and carry a negative PCR test report not older than 72 hours at the time of boarding.
b. All travellers should submit a self-declaration form on the online portal (www.newdelhiairport.in) at least 72 hours before the scheduled travel or physically after arrival at the respective health counters.
