Emirates elected Airline of the Year 2015 by Worldwide Travel Agencies from 85 different Countries

For the third consecutive year, APG – the Network for Airline Distribution Services – has run the A.W.A.R.D. (the APG Worldwide Airline Reward for Distribution), an electronic vote throughout the global travel agent worldwide community. Over a four-month period, all Travel Agencies around the world have been requested to participate in this survey to determine, based on several criteria, which Airline deserves the label of best Company of the year, as seen by the industry.

The A.W.A.R.D. questionnaire has been issued in many languages including Arabic, Catalan, Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Hungarian, Indonesian, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish, and included three basic questions:
– Which is the easiest airline to deal with as a travel agent?
– Which airline do you most commonly recommend to your clients?
– Which airline communicates the best with travel agents and customers?

5418 Travel agencies from 85 different countries nominated 161 different Airlines and for the second year, Emirates is recognised as ‘the most recommended airline to clients’, winning first place based on the overall votes. Emirates will therefore receive our ‘Airline of the Year’ Award for 2015.

In addition to this nomination, three Airlines which received several hundred votes:
Air France/KLM, Taromand Lufthansa will each be given an APG award reflecting their quality of services offered – as recognized by the travel agent community. Travel agents opinion is rarely sought and therefore the A.W.A.R.D. gives them the opportunity to express their choice among all global airlines, based on their experience. Winning Airlines will be presented with their AWARDs during the 7th APG World Connect Conference to be held in Marrakesh from October 28-30, 2015. Details of the vote and the winner will be featured in the national and international travel media.
