World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) is one of the most prominent global platforms which represent travel and tourism in private sector. It works towards raising awareness of the global, social and economic role of travel and tourism worldwide. WTTC research reveals that travel and tourism sector accounted for 10.4 per cent of global GDP and grew by 3.9 per cent in 2018. World Travel & Tourism Council called India the seventh largest travel and tourism economy in the world. India ranks 3rd in WTTC travel and tourism Power and Performance ranking.
