TAFI signs bilateral tourism MoU with Rwanda

The Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) has entered into a bilateral tourism promotion agreement with Rwanda Tourism Chamber in Mumbai. Zakkir Ahmed, President, TAFI and Anny Batamuriza, Vice Chair, Rwanda Tourism Chamber, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at The Westin Mumbai Garden City. Throwing light on this development, Ahmed said that the aim is to exchange ideas on increasing tourist arrivals. “The objective is to increase tourism from both sides. In the current scenario, there are not many tourists going from India to Rwanda. As of now, there is not much exposure on tourism offerings of Rwanda in the Indian market, and for the first time officials from Rwanda Tourism have come to India and promoting their tourist destinations to the Indian people and among travel trade. This MoU will provide much needed momentum to increase tourism for both the countries.”
