Shri Chandrababu Naidu proposes development of three international airports

Shri Chandrababu Naidu, CM, Andhra Pradesh, sought the support of Shri Ashok Gajapathi Raju Pusapati, Minister for Civil Aviation, Government of India, to develop Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Tirupati airports as international airports, besides creating airstrips in other parts of the state, as per a report in Business Standard. Addressing state Members of Parliament (MPs) at the Lake View Guest House in Hyderabad on the eve of the Parliament Budget session, Naidu spoke on 35 various problems pertaining to the state that needed to be put forth for the Centre’s consent.

Requesting the Centre to allocate Rs 5,000 crore from the Budget as a first tranche towards development of a new capital city, Naidu asked his MPs to meet ministers concerned to speed up the process of setting up IIT, IIM, and AIMS that had already been sanctioned.
