MP’s Maiden Travel Mart commenced on high note

The three day Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart organised under the aegis of Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation Limited at Hotel Palash Residency in Bhopal from October 17 to 19, received great response and commenced on a great note. The Travel Mart aimed at creating awareness about forest resources, ancient heritage and culture of the state along with publicity so that there should be rise in local and foreign tourists in the state. Representatives from countries namely America, Britain, Germany, France, Canada, Singapore, Ukraine, Hungary and Mexico attended the programme.

On the inauguration of the MPTM Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan, CM, Madhya Pradesh, said “We are proud to host and organise central India’s biggest travel mart, I hope and am quite confident that the new state tourism and land policies launched recently are going to make huge difference, we welcome our private investors to come and invest in our state, we assure them full support”. He further congratulated MPTDC for making it possible and is quite sure that they will soon acquire number one position in our country in terms of destination.

Informing about the single window clearance for SEZ’s, Hari Ranjan Rao, Secretary Tourism, said, “The DCR will help the IT SEZs in Indore get permission for works like high-rise building and other layout plans directly from the SEZ development commissioner. No more they need to waste their valuable time in running from pillar to post to get the clearances from different government offices.”
Shri Raghwendra Kumar Singh, Managing Director, said, “This is going to be the biggest event in central India and undoubtedly a great platform for B2B networking.

Domestic tour operators from all over India, with buyers from major markets such as Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Nagpur and emerging markets such as Bangalore, we want to take tourism in the state altogether to a new level, we are also planning to promote golf tourism in the state and have huge expectations from the new land policies to play important role about the same.”

The mart saw great response from the buyers and sellers over there. “This was a much needed event for the state and has given us a great opportunity for networking here”, said one of the buyers.
