Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the first-ever India Tourism Mart in New Delhi, the three day extravaganza that aims to serve as the largest hub for international buyers enabling them to interact with the tourism service providers in India. With the joint effort of Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism and Hospitality (FAITH) and the Tourism Ministry, the promotions for the same has already commenced with sheer spirit. This massive extravaganza is scheduled to be held from September 16-18 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. ITM is aiming to tap over 300 buyers for making it a successful B2B show.
By collaborating with FAITH, the tourism ministry aims to position the tourism destinations and products of the India in the international source markets with the aim of doubling the number of foreign tourists from the current figure of 10 million to 20 million by 2020.The event will have its sheer focus on hospitality, culture, cuisines, heritage monuments, infrastructure, niche products from various Indian states and MICE (Meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) facilities.
