Virgin Atlantic has collaborated with Happy Socks® to design bespoke socks as a summer treat for its customers. The airline has worked closely with the fun sock company to create a special design, turning a standard amenity into something unexpected with a premium feel. The uniquely designed socks will be gifted to lucky Upper Class customers travelling on selected flights throughout the summer. Happy Socks® are well-known around the world for their creative and fun designs, and the special Virgin Atlantic pairs are no different. The socks come in Virgin Atlantic colours of red or purple, with designs inspired by the love for travel.
The partnership with Happy Socks® is the latest in a resurgence of exciting and innovative customer experience initiatives being introduced by the airline. This follows their recent partnerships with master pâtissière Eric Lanlard to create Mile-High Afternoon Tea, and esteemed scent designer Rachel Vosper to create a bespoke scent ‘AIR’, used the elevate the customer journey.

Upper Class customers travelling on selected A330-200 routes will receive a complimentary pair of Happy Socks as part of their amenity kit, while customers in other cabins or travelling on different aircraft will be able to purchase them from Retail Therapy on-board and online. The socks are part of Virgin Atlantic’s plans to re-imagine standard airline amenities and provide customers with products they want to use again and again.
