KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is expanding its footprint in India. The airline will be increasing frequency between Mumbai and Amsterdam and expanding network with the launch of flight operations from Bengaluru to Amsterdam. Bengaluru will be the third Indian city serviced by KLM, while Delhi and Mumbai are already being served.
Effective 31st October 2019, KLM will launch a thrice-weekly direct service from Bengaluru to Amsterdam. These flights will be operated by the Boeing 787-9 (Dreamliner) equipment with a seating of 294.
The thrice-weekly connection from Bengaluru will open up more opportunities for travel from India with easy connections to Europe and North America via the convenient hub of Amsterdam Schiphol.
The flight schedule will be as follows:
- Flight KL0880 departs from Bengaluru at 02:45 hours and arrives at 08:25 hours (local time) Schiphol.
- Flight KL0879 departs from Schiphol at 11:05 hours (local time) and arrives the following day at 00:50 hours in Bengaluru at Kempegowda International Airport.
Days of operation ex Bengaluru Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Starting 2nd September 2019, KLM will add one additional frequency between Mumbai and Amsterdam. This will be the fourth frequency on this route. This will be followed by the fifth frequency effective 30th September. From 28th October 2019 Mumbai-Amsterdam will be flown daily. This route will also be served by the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
The flights between Delhi and Paris Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam Schiphol will be operated as usual.
Additional capacity between India and Europe by Air France-KLM
This winter alongside the increased capacity & frequencies of KLM, Air France will increase capacity with enlarged aircraft operations from Mumbai and Bangalore to Paris Charles de Gaulle with Boeing 777 operations. The joint offer from the partners is an increase of 25% over last year winter.
