Kadapa Airport inaugurated by Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh

Kadapa Airport was formally inaugurated on June 7, 2015 by Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Shri P Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Honourable Union Minister of Civil Aviation presided over the inaugural function, in the august presence of other Cabinet Ministers, Ministers of State, Members of Parliament and Members of Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh State.
Aircraft operations from Kadapa Airport were kicked off with the launch of Bengaluru-based regional airlines Air Pegasus, for the sector Bengaluru-Kadapa. The first flight took off from Bengaluru Airport and land at Kadapa on June 7, 2015.
With the launch of this Airport, the Kadapa City has been included in the air connectivity map of the country under the long term plan of wider connectivity of Government of India.
