• #FitToFly programme to go live on December 10th through focused health workshops; 6E partners with renowned fitness coach and nutritionist Mr. Tarun Gill

National, December 09, 2016: In yet another initiative to bring innovation and freshness – IndiGo is going all out to introduce first-of-its-kind initiative called – #FitToFly programme starting December 10th 2016. With Indians, particularly the youth, women and working people increasingly becoming health conscious – the launch of #FitToFly programme aims to create more awareness around the healthy lifestyle.

The airline has partnered with renowned Nutritionist and Advanced Personal trainer, Mr. Tarun Gill to launch the first series of the #FitToFly programme on Saturday, December 10th 2016 at Epicenter, Gurgaon. Mr. Gill will conduct a series of health workshops under the name of ‘TG Connect’. These workshops are designed to promote fitness amongst the underprivileged people.

Speaking on the launch, Mr. Aditya Ghosh, President and Whole Time Director, IndiGo said, “We are excited to announce the launch of #FitToFly programme. Being a young brand with fitness at the core of our operations – whether it be financially or the health of our employees, #FitToFly was an idea waiting to be executed.”

Mr. Ghosh further added, “I am personally looking forward to this program becoming synonymous with a fitness revolution in India which is more than about just getting a six pack but a lifestyle choice. #FitToFly isn’t us telling people “do a thousand pushups or get a 6 pack or don’t eat carbs.” #FitToFly is more of a motivation/inspiration for you to become a healthier version of YOU! With this initiative, we endeavour to infuse IndiGo fitness belief and inspire everyone around to become more fit. I don’t expect this to happen overnight or in a year but will take a sustained effort.”

The programme will also involve a series of other initiatives that will aim to inspire individuals to break all barriers that come in their way while trying to build a fitness regime.

#FitToFly will go live on Facebook and Twitter (@IndiGo6E) on December 10th. All fitness enthusiasts are requested to spread the word.
