IndiGo celebrates Children’s Day with 48 kids on board

To mark this special occasion of celebrating Children’s day, IndiGo flew 48 underprivileged children on a special flight which operated from Chennai this morning. A ‘dream flying’ ATR aircraft was specially arranged to fly these kids on board as part of IndiGoReach initiative. As part of the celebrations, these kids were dressed in IndiGo blue coloured t-shirts and there was a cake cutting ceremony which was a special surprise for the kids at Chennai airport.

Captain Ashim Mittra, Senior Vice President, Flight Operations, IndiGo said, “Children’s day is the most celebrated occasion worldwide, and it was our delight to operate this special flight called “Dream flying” as part of IndiGoReach initiative. We flew an ATR aircraft this morning from Chennai with 48 underprivileged kids to give them a memorable flying experience. Creating these special moments became even more fulfilling when we saw these kids getting thrilled over an aircraft taking off and landing back at the airport. We thank all our colleagues, members from the Airport Authority of India, Indian Oil and Ola who joined us in making this Children’s Day celebrations special.”
