India Golf Tourism Summit 2014 commences

FICCI in partnership with Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and India Golf Tourism Association began the first ever Incredible India Golf Tourism Summit at New Delhi. The summit would take place from October 8-10, 2014 to promote this niche area of tourism in a substantial way. Forty leading foreign buyers are expected at the event, informed Rajan Sehgal, President, IGTA.

Besides Sehgal, speakers at the Summit include Dr A Didar Singh, Secretary General, FICCI; Dr Jyotsna Suri, Senior Vice President, FICCI and Chairperson & Managing Director, The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group; Dipak Haksar, COO, ITC Hotels; Peter Walton, Chief Executive, International Association of Golf Tour Operators; Anand Kumar, Managing Director, National Highways Infrastructure and Development Corporation, Ministry of Transport, Government of India; Girish Shankar, Additional Secretary Tourism, Government of India; Shripad Yesso Naik, Minister of State with Independent Charge for Tourism and Culture, Government of India; Aakash Ohri, Director, DLF Golf Resorts; and Randhir Brar, Executive Director, Pash India.
