In pursuit of enhancing awareness levels about ETAA, sharing its guiding principles and increasing its membership base in North India, ETAA – Enterprising Travel Agents Association (North India Chapter) in cooperation with Trawelltag Covermore hosted a Travel Agent’s Engagement Programme at the Souvenir Premium Hotel in Jaipur on April 26, 2017. The Event was attended by more than 64 travel agents and tour operators from Rajasthan.
Speaking at the occasion Gurjit Singh Ahuja, Director- ETAA National Board and Chapter Chairman North India stressed on the ongoing need of such engagement and knowledge sessions and a platform for the travel fraternity to exchange thoughts introduce new Ideas and enhance its knowledge quotient and adopt best practices.
The New North India Chapter team comprising of Sangeeta Manocha-Joint Secretary, Amit Watts – General Secretary and Manmeet Singh Arora- Treasurer was also introduced to all present.
Also speaking at the event, National General Secretary – ETAA, Mr Abhijit Khadilkar stressed on the need of co-operation, networking and knowledge sharing among the travel partners. Dipti Pradhan Thakoor, National Joint Secretary – ETAA, gave a detailed introduction on ETAA, its membership process, it’s functioning and the various milestones achieved over the last 21 Years since its inception.
A detailed and interactive presentation was done by Dev Karvat, CEO- Emerging Markets of Trawelltag Covermore Group, on the need of being innovative, dynamic and adaptable and to be able to watch out for the changes in consumer behaviour and evolving market dynamics. He stressed the importance of Travel Insurance as a travel service and a tool of added revenue to Travel Agency bottom lines.
Also invited to the event were senior office bearers from other leading Travel Trade associations, Gyan Prakash – Director General FHTR, Mohan Singh – Senior Vice President RATO and Mahender Singh, Chapter Chairman, ADTOI – Rajasthan Chapter. The Guests of honour were felicitated by the ETAA Team for their ongoing support to the efforts of ETAA. The event provided a great opportunity for all to network and exchange Ideas.
