With the aim to increase 50 lakh domestic tourists in the State the Department of Tourism in association with Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR) is organizing Rajasthan’s first ever Domestic Travel Mart 2018 (RDTM).
The Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart 2018 will be organized from 20 to 22 July in Jaipur. The Inaugural session of the Mart will be held on 20 July at Hotel Clarks Amer and next two days at BM Birla Convention Centre, Statue Circle, Jaipur the pre scheduled B2B meetings will be held.
Tourists arrivals in the State is around 4 crore 50 lakh every year which this domestic mart support and intends to increase to 5 crore from coming season with the support of Government of Rajasthan, Tourism Department and the tourism industry.
RDTM organized by the Department of Tourism in association of FHTR will see buyers from Hotels, Restaurants, Travel and Trade companies from all over Rajasthan to increase domestic tourists in the State, multiplying jobs and increasing the State GDP in tourism. To achieve these landmarks FHTR had organized numerous promotional shows in Pushkar, Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Alwar, Shekhawati at Mandawa, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur ,Kota, Bundi and Ranthambore to encourage domestic tourism by its stakeholders . The buyers of repute from across India to sell Rajasthan to bring/send visitors to Rajasthan. The promotion shows had a thumping participation at all the locations with praise for such initiatives as it was the right time to organize Domestic Travel Mart which would provide the hoteliers / resorts and travel fraternity to have business immediately start since thereafter the season starts.
The RDTM is the first initiative by any State to come forward to organize such an event of this magnitude with more than 200 buyers and sellers at one palace. The domestic mart has all the industry associations of Rajasthan come together like Hotel & Restaurant Association of Rajasthan (HRAR), Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA) and Rajasthan Association of Tour Operators (RATO) and in support of the event besides the national associations of IATO, ADTOI, TAAI, TAFI, ATOAI, ICPB, ETAA.
RDTM also intends to bring in participation from some of the destinations which are lesser known or yet to be explored besides other newer properties coming but not enough projected for tour / travel operators.
A unique feature of the Mart will be the special invitations to the biggest and the most popular names in the wedding planners, event management, film shooting producers, corporate meeting planners / organizing companies which will be the highlight of the event and could prove to be the best business proposals for future.
