As the biggest and brightest festival in India approaches, Skyscanner, a leading travel search engine, reveals that there has been greater interest in international destinations this Diwali. With a 119.6 per cent YoY increase in searches, results indicate that Indian travellers are escaping the festival rush and cashing-in on the Diwali break to explore the world.
“With a 119.6 per cent YoY increase in searches to international destinations; it is evident that Indian travellers are increasingly exploring a variety of destinations to spend Diwali this year. With Bali as the top destination this festive season, we expect to see an increased interest to other parts of Indonesia with the recent free visa facilities for Indian travellers.
