Arunachal Pradesh signs MoU with IRCTC for promoting tourism

Arunachal Pradesh has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) Ltd in order to promote and boost to the tourism sector of the state. Joram Beda, Secretary, Tourism, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, represented the state government while IRCTC was represented by its Regional Manager John Lepcha, during the MoU signing ceremony held recently in presence of departmental officers in Itanagar, official sources said.

IRCTC has decided to tie up with the state government to provide value-added tour package services and booking facilities in Arunachal Pradesh. After signing ceremony was over, the team of officials visited the newly constructed and now operational railway station at Yupia to explore the feasibility of opening tourism facilitating centre in the station premises, sources added.
