Air China, China’s National Air Carrier will launch direct International flight from Mumbai, India to Beijing, China with effect from October25, 2015. The strategic move of Air China is a step to strengthen its existing route network in India. Air China introduced Airbus A330-300 to its service to Mumbai. Mumbai is the financial capital of the India and home to several affluent business families and Bollywood, world’s 3rd largest film industry. There has been significant increase in people traveling to China from Mumbai in last couple of years. Air China is extremely proud to have their network reach expanded to Mumbai, an important destination in India.
India is one of the top emerging countries in the world and by 2023 the country is forecasted to become the second largest economy in the world in terms of GDP. With fast economic growth, India as a country also offers significant opportunities for air travel growth. Adding strategic destinations to our network over the next few years will play a crucial role in helping us to achieve our targets and strengthening our relations. The new flight Mumbai, India to Beijing, P.R.China will operate four times in a week i.e., Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Sunday. Passengers will also have return flight service from Beijing, P.R.China to Mumbai, India four times a week i.e., Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday.
Airbus A330-300 has seating capacity of 301 passengers which offers 30 seats in Business class, 16 seats in Premium Economy and 255 seats in Economy Class. The outbound flight will departs from Mumbai at 02:30 IST, arrives in Beijing at 11:20 CST. The return flight will departs from Beijing at 19:40 CST and will arrives next day in Mumbai at 01:00 IST. After the launch of this route, Air China will discontinue with it existing route PVG – CTU – BOM – CTU – PVG effective winter schedule 2015.
With the launch of this new route Air China is very confident about new business relations in India and strengthening of economical as well as political relations of both the nations. Air China will also offer good and seamless connectivity to all destinations in Mainland China, USA, Canada, Korea, Japan & Far East Asia. Moreover, this will further improve Air China’s global route network with its hub in Beijing and will also be able to get passengers from network destinations to Mumbai & further points in West & South India.
