AccorHotels, Tourism of Thailand and Bangkok Airways collaborate to boost outbound tourism

AccorHotels, Tourism of Thailand (TAT) and Bangkok Airways came together to promote tourism in Cambodia and Thailand. The three partners from the respective industries organised an exclusive familiarisation trip for leading Indian travel agents and industry representatives to the two popular destinations, Siem Reap and Hua Hin. The tour aimed at empowering Indian travel agents and industry representatives with an insightful experience and supplementing them with knowledge. Today’s Indian travellers are looking for unique experiences, thus it becomes critical for travel agents to experience recommendations they made first hand enabling them to better engage with their customers, guide them and ultimately win them over.

The three-night four-day trip started with Bangkok Airways’ comfortable flights, followed by relaxed stays at the luxurious Sofitel Angkor in Siem Reap and the stylish Novotel Hua Hin Cha Am Beach Resort & Spa. The seamless and enjoyable journey was planned with city excursions to famous tourist spots and hidden gems of the cities and exclusive restaurants by TAT which helped the holiday planners to soak in the local culture of the cities.

Key sight-seeing in Siem Reap included a visit to the magical temples like Banteay Sri, Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, Bayon along with a brief site inspection of Raffles Grand Hotel D’Angkor and the newly opened ibis Styles Siem Reap. At Hua Hin, the team visited Sam Roi Yot National Park and trekked to reach the Phraya Nakhon Cave and wrapped up the day with a dinner hosted by SO Sofitel Hua Hin. The following day they also experienced viticulture with a difference at Monsoon Valley Vineyard and were hosted to a lunch paired with wines. A visit to Thailand is never complete without a brief stopover in Bangkok with some shopping and a foot massage.

With a successful, well-organized and well-planned trip, the three companies will team-up again to encourage tourism in this region.
